Description:
A small bike ride along the Grantham canal with Jack on the Trail-a-Bike. We cycled past the Rutlands Arms (pub and restaurant) and went under many bridges. Some of it also meant going on grass which was very hard when there was a small, steep hill as you couldn't get up to the right speed to make it to the top. On this part of the canal there were lots of Blue Green Algae which is poisonous to humans. There were also old locks where the wood had degraded and in need of repair. This was a nice bike ride for a Saturday morning.
This is a blog of walks that we go on as a family. There will be a number of interesting walks, many around the Grantham and Lincolnshire area. In addition we include other walks that we do whilst on holiday in various parts of Europe. We welcome your feedback should you attempt or have already done any of these walks.
